ABOUT AIPMT Entrance Exam

All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) is held every year to analyze the capability and knowledge of a candidate. People from different states and countries sit apply for these entrances but only few could make it possible. AIPMT is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). This entrance is actually tough to crack when compared to other entrances. Brief Introduction

Entrance Examinations are held every year related to various streams of education. You have to choose the field according to your interest and then sit for its entrance exam. There are times when students generally take these dates lightly, but at the end they are stuck with nothing. They have to wait for another one year to sit for that particular examination as the seats are limited and donations are not acceptable in government institutes.

When we particularly talk about the medical field, there is a lot of scope in this. The students who opt for this field are generally interested in becoming a famous doctor. They study hard and apply for the particular post by sitting into the examination. The preparation for these government college examinations is not that easy. Your answer sheet must show your total efforts to the examiner. It is totally based upon your talent, how much interested and keen you are about your further studies.

Important Point To Remember

AIPMT is a real competitive exam where lakhs of students apply and face its entrance. Due to the limited number of seats available in a course, only the best ones get the admissions. The question paper of AIPMT includes 200 numbers of questions which are objective in nature. Each correct answer will grade you with 3marks and with each negative answer, 1mark will be deducted. It is a 3hours examination where chemistry, biology, and physics are the main focus. So, go ahead and beat the examination with full motivation.

Eligibility Criteria and Other Important Details

Age Limit :

Min. 17 yrs at the time of admission with a 5 year relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC in the upper Age Limit.

Qualification :

a. Min. 50% for General category students and 40% for SC / ST / OBC in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCM) as aggregate.

b. Students must pass Physics, Chemistry , Biology and English subjects separately.

Entrance Qualifying Strategy :

  • 50 percentile for general category
  • 45 percentile for general category physically handicapped
  • 40 percentile for SC / ST / OBC

Number of Attempts :

A candidate can attempt max three times.

Reservation of Seats :

Reservation will be made as per following details in 15% All India Quota

1. 15 % of Seats for SC Category

2. 7.5% of seats for ST Category

3. 27 % of seats for OBC Category

4. 3 % of seats for PH
