What is NCO?

The National Cyber Olympiad is commonly known as NCO. This Olympiad is the first worldwide search competition which was commenced for the skilled candidates with a desire to classify and bring up the cyber talent of the young kids. It is conducted every year and is established in order to boost the young students to develop their knowledge and comprehension of the problem regarding computers and IT. National Cyber Olympiad is organized by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF)

It is conducted with the motive to identify the mental ability, logical and analytical reasoning of the applicants in computers and IT field. 

The candidates from classes between I to XII (HSC class) from a reputed school are eligible to appear for the National Cyber Olympiad examination.

Eligibility Criteria

NCO Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criterion for NCO is generated by the SOF. Eligibility Criteria is as follows:

  • Applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • Must be studying in Class 12th or below.

NCO Registration / Application Form

Students have to register for the exam from their school itself. NCO does not accept individual participation of the candidate from any other mode.

All the information is sent to the schools all over the country / Asian countries along with prospectus, registration forms, posters and other details before the first round and then as the date and venue of the second level is decided, the information is sent to the relevant schools again.

The students will come to know about the necessary details from their school teachers or through the Foundation’s official website,

The admit card can be downloaded from the official site of SOF. More information will be given by the respective school teachers

NCO  Pattern:-

Level-1 competition is a written objective-type test of duration of 60 minutes comprising of 35 multiple choice questions for class 2 to class 4 and 50 questions from class 5 to class 12.

Question paper will have three sections:-

  • Section I – Mental Ability (5/10 questions)
  • Section II – Logical and Analytical Reasoning (10/10 questions)
  • Section III – Computer and Information Technology (20/30 questions)

Each correct answer carries one mark. There is no negative marking.

Level-2 Online Examination at Reliance web stores, Top 500 Students of level 1 qualify for the level 2 from each class.
