State Bank of India is one of the largest and simultaneously fastest growing banking enterprises in India. It is the only public sector bank in the country that does not use IBPS exams for recruitment of different posts. Every year it conducts varied exams for selecting eligible candidates to fill in vacancies for different posts at different branches spread across the country. SBI Clerk exam is one such
exams which is popular among banking. This exam is held in two phases –
Preliminary and Main. Selected candidates are posted as depositors and cashiers at different bank branches and are responsible for client interactions and related operations.

Eligibility criteria

The candidates who have a strong will to apply for SBI clerk post are given the advice to first check their SBI Clerk eligibility criteria, whether or not they are eligible for applying in the examination.

State Bank of India decides the eligibility criteria of SBI Clerk taking nationality, age, and education qualification into consideration. Candidates must meet the S BI Clerk eligibility criteria 2019 before they fill the application form so that their candidature is not rejected at any later stage.

Nationality:

The candidate must have the nationality or citizenship from the following nationalities:

Citizen of India, Citizen of Nepal, Citizen of Bhutan, Citizen of Bhutan, A Tibetan refugee, people migrated from Pakistan, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Educational Qualification

The candidates who wish to apply for the post of junior associates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent degree recognized by the Central government.

  • The candidates have to produce class 10th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied official (local) language and having local language subject as one of the subjects, will not be subjected to any language test.In other cases, where the candidates are not able to produce the same will need to undergo the language test before the final selection. The candidates not found to be proficient in official and local language would be disqualified.
  •  Candidate should be able to write and speak English.
  • Candidates who are in the final Semester/year of Graduation may also apply for SBI clerk 2019. But they will have to produce the proof of having passed the graduation examination at the time of the document verification for joining.
  • Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD as per the prescribed dates.

•    Age required for SBI clerk 2019 is calculated on as on 01.04.2019.
Candidates must satisfy the restriction for the date of birth. As per SBI, candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1991 and not later than 01.04.1999 (both days inclusive).


•     The age limitations have also been decided by SBI and the candidate
isfying these age restrictions will be eligible to apply. The lower age limit for a candidate to apply is not below than 20 years and the upper age limit for a candidate to apply is not above than 28 years.


•   The age relaxation in upper age limit is provided to reserved category candidates. The applicant should meet the age criteria as per the norms mentioned above.

Admit Card (50 words)

To appear for the SBI clerk online examinations, it is mandatory for the candidates to have their admit cards. The admit cards are issued on the official website of the State Bank of India prior to the examinations. Candidates can access their admit cards by entering their registration number and password, or date of birth.

Update: SBI clerk admit card 2019 for pre-examination training call letter released officially. The State Bank of India (SBI) has released the Pre-Examination Training (PET) call letter for the post of Junior Associates (Clerk). The Online Preliminary Exam will be conducted tentatively in March/April 2019.

SBI Clerk Exam 2019 Pattern:-

The selection process will consist of on-line test (preliminary & main examination)

and test of specified opted local language.

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination:

  2. Numerical Ability – 35 Qs – 35 Marks – 20 Minutes
  3. Reasoning Ability – 35 Qs – 35 Marks – 20 Minutes

Total – 100 Qs – 100 Marks – 1 Hour

Each test will have a separate timing as mentioned above.

There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer.

No minimum qualifying marks for individual subject as well as for aggregate (overall) are prescribed. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 10 times the numbers of vacancies. subject to availability) will be shortlisted for the Main Examination from the list of all candidates arranged in descending order of aggregate marks scored.

The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be bilingual i.e., English & Hindi. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon). Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be decided by the bank. No minimum qualifying marks for individual subject are prescribed. Merit list will be drawn
State wise, category wise. Candidates qualified in the test (main examination) will
be placed according to their aggregate marks in descending order in respective
States and Categories.

Results

State Bank of India will be announcing the result for SBI Clerk Prelims in a short while. Candidates can check their SBI Clerk Result by visiting SBI’s official site. Remember, the Result will be declared in sequence of the exam been
conducted, i.e. the result of Prelims will be declared soon after SBI Clerk Prelims
Exam has been conducted and the result for Mains Exam will be conducted after State Bank conducts the Mains Exam.

SBI Clerk cut off-

Although, it cannot be said with the full guarantee the cut-offs of PRE and MAINS 2017. But still, we can guess an idea by going back to the previous year SBI clerk exam cut-offs.
