About Pune University Mass Communication Entrance Exam
Pune University also known as Savitribai Phule Pune University is a public state University situated in Pune, Maharashtra. Established in the year 1949, the Institution is named after Savitribai Phule a social reformer who had contributed in the field of Women empowerment and promoting Education for Women. The university has almost 18 colleges running under it and also has 43 departments as well. Current Vice-Chancellor is Mr Nitin R. Karmalkar. The University is recognised world-wide and is ranked 7th among the top Universities in India.

Aspiring candidate must be a citizen of the country and must possess identification and citizenship proofs.
- Qualification Eligibility
Applicants are required to be a graduate from any stream along with minimum qualifying score or grades.
* Candidates who are in their final year of college can also appear for the examination.
Application Forms And Submission Procedure
The process of registration begins during the first week of May every year. Candidates must enroll themselves with the website first to be able to write the main exam. If the candidate is successfully registered then only he or she is eligible.
- Documents to be Uploaded
Following is the list of documents to be uploaded for submission or verification process:
- Class 10th and 12th certificate
- Final year Mark sheet of College
- Transfer certificate from College/ University
- OBC/ST/SC certificate (if required)
- Application Fee
Application fee is different for different categories. For the category general it is Rs500 and for categories such as SC/ST/OBC it is Rs.350.
Admit card for the examination is released 5 days prior to the examination. The candidates must bring this card on the day of test as without it, nobody will be allowed to write the exam. Applicants can take the print out of the admit card from the official website. Admit card contains the name, photo and details of the applicant which provides surity to the examiner.
- Admission Procedure / How To Apply:
Following are the steps one must follow in order to register successfully for admission in Mass Communication:-
Step 1Click on the link provided above to fill out the registration form Pune University Mass Communication Entrance.
Step 2. The second step is to click on the tab “New Registration” or “Sign In” and complete the registration process.
Step 3. In the registration form, fill out the details such as name, e-mail ID, mobile number, guardian’s details, and residential address and other required information.
Step 4. After filling all the details, applicants receive an e-mail and a SMS conforming their registration along with their password through which they can further access their application and re-view it.
Step 5. After filling in the details, the documents such as photo and signature should be uploaded.
Step 6. Finally click on the button “Save & Submit”.
Step 7. Make the payment and print the application form for future use. Now you are successfully registered for the entrance test.
The syllabus for the examination is divided into two parts i.e. Part 1 and Part 2. Both the sections have the same marks weight-age.

- Essay writing or Article writing
For MJMC (Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication), the test is conducted at the campus of Pune University. For those outside Pune, have to make their own arrangements and are advised to visit the centre in advance to avoid hassle on the day of the examination.
The result of Pune University Mass Communication for various programmes will be announced two days after the exam in the form of PDF, the link to which will be provided on the official website. Qualifying candidates registration number or application number is displayed on the list in PDF.
